Thanks to a suggestion from Alesha Ballon from Ever After Events, we did a styled shoot at Leo Carrillo Ranch and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Everything about that location sings to my heart from the giant, overgrown California Pepper trees to the California native shrubs and flowers popping out from the most unlikely places. This little slice of heaven hidden away in the foothills of Carlsbad is the perfect venue for the outdoorsy client.

In keeping with the natural beauty of our environment, we foraged most of the foliage, herbs, and some of the blooms from my home garden. We even incorporated cilantro that had gone to seed in the bride's bouquet and branches of blueberries on the cake. I love when we have the opportunity to use what is growing around us in our work.

A seriously dreamy group of vendors worked on this one with us and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and the experience as a whole. Enjoy!
