I have admired Francoise's work forever! Like literally, forever! I think she was one of the first designers I followed on Instagram, so when I had the opportunity to attend a conference where she was speaking, I jumped at the chance. I attended one of her breakout group meetings and at one point I found myself standing right next to her in the back of the ballroom... I mustered up the nerve to talk to her and we ended up going out to lunch together and spent the rest of the afternoon chatting about floristry and design. It was a joy to find a fellow nature nerd, someone to geek out with over fern shoots, lichen branches, moss and all of their design potential.

I fell in love with her down to earth and easy approach to teaching design. She has a curiosity about her that shines through in the way she looks at nature and it’s apparent in her designs.

At the end of the conference, I offered to give her a lift to the airport as I selfishly I wanted to keep chatting with her. After that, we promised to stay in touch and stay in touch we did! We talk often and I visit her in Portland every chance I get. In fact, I will be visiting and foraging with Francoise in just under five weeks, for our upcoming two day intensive workshop where you will get the chance to experience all of Francoise’s talent and passion and create your own woodland/botanical designs.
